The Emmy Award is a name familiar to anyone who is addicted to television shows. It is an American award that recognizes excellence in the television industry and is presented at numerous events held throughout the year.
Although Codup has nothing to do with the television industry, when Emmys contacted us with their requirements for a B2B website, we felt honored as well.
The original website of International Emmy had many complexities and shortfalls. It needed a bunch of new features through which their members and potential members could easily navigate and apply and pay for membership subscriptions, entries, and event tickets.
Our team of developers took over these challenges and overhauled their website to create an easy-to-use B2B site that their partners could easily navigate through.
To offer their partners a membership option, we used the WooCommerce Subscription extension and installed the system in place. We built custom forms on their website which potential partners could submit to apply for their membership. These membership forms are then reviewed quarterly and approved by the board. After approval, the member or director who has applied for membership is charged annually through WooCommerce Subscriptions. For their Award Entries, we set up custom forms for all of their categories through which a user could submit and pay for the entry. The entries are pushed via webhooks to their video partners to submit videos.
Codup used the Event Ticket Plus plugin to provide events and ticketing functionality on their website. We improved the UX by performing some custom work on the plugin. Codup also created a single sign-on functionality through which users could log in on their partner sites using Emmy’s credentials.
This custom WordPress development project resulted in an intuitive website for International Emmy. The WordPress site with a bunch of new and useful features like single-sign-on functionality, online events and ticketing, subscriptions, and more provided a much better user experience to our client’s members and prospects.
